Spring 2024 | Enter Play

New vs. Zero SUM
a situation in which one person or group can win something only by causing another person or group to lose something.

This version of the game is based on lessons from deconstructing a very popular board game about colonization last year with the EGG. Rules for New SUM are based on the patterns of play demonstrated — by fellow artists and community members — who showed up to try a hand at making some new moves in their shared home over the course of the past year. The game board shows a satellite image of the land many here call home, the design is based on the natural pattern of a Gloriosa Daisy seed head.

Check out SUM Thoughts & Answers to delve into the transition from last year’s game to this!

I can’t express how grateful I am to be working with the artists of the EGG, and MING Studios for this experience and opportunity to dream bravely this Spring. - Mary K 3/18/24
